February 9, 2009 by astrokalyani
This was the first meeting of the group and 8 members joined. One member informed that she had started her own practice in Vaughan. She gives free demonstration of Reiki treatment and then people book further sessions. She is getting very good response and the results are also encouraging. Another member said that although he is not regular in his Reiki practice, still he is feeling changes in his personality. He is becoming more positive and the feeling of depression and negativity is slowly fading away.other members also shared their experiences and one thing that became clear by talking is that while doing Reiki you may feel something or not, still Reiki works for you and you may feel the subtle positive changes slowly.
We also did chakra meditation to energise and balance all seven chakras. every one felt very relaxed and energised. It was a very exhilarating experience.

How to use reiki to help facilitate the planetary shift in consciousness

February 9, 2009 by astrokalyani

According to Mr. William Rand:

Here are some ways to use Reiki to help facilitate the planetary shift in consciousness.

  1. Make sure to give yourself Reiki every day. A complete session is recommended if you have the time, but shorter periods are also effective. Giving yourself several 5 minute sessions a day will work wonders to release stress, lift your spirits, improve creativity and help you manifest the best results. As you heal and improve your own level of consciousness, your presence in the lives of others will help them as well.
  2. Use Reiki to achieve your goals. Each morning write the priorities of the day on a piece of paper and give them Reiki. Then Reiki your goals at least one additional time during the day. Do this with your long range goals as well. You’ll be happily surprised as amazingly helpful coincidences take place to help you achieve your goals.
  3. Offer Reiki to family members, friends and co-workers. This will reduce their stress and help create a positive supportive atmosphere. Make sure you get Reiki sessions from others too.
  4. Send Reiki to local, regional and world crisis situations and to the world in general. This will raise the vibration of those events making solutions more easily achieved and helping to smooth the transition to world peace.

      5.   Teach Reiki to others. This can be done through informal classes for family and friends or through professionally organized classes for the general public.

6.   Encourage others to use their Reiki on a regular basis. Set up a Reiki share group or attend one that’s already operating and invite very one you know to attend

What is Astrology?

October 31, 2008 by astrokalyani

Vedic Astrology is a scientific study and application of the language of the heavenly bodies (planets and stars). These heavenly bodies are determined on the basis of astronomy and mathematics, are mapped in the form of a horoscope. Their specific position in the horoscope indicates specific happenings in the case of individuals. The main factors affecting the horoscope of any individual are Date of birth, Place of birth and exact time of birth. Whether the sun, the moon, the planets and stars themselves influence the terrestrial phenomena, or they only indicate such phenomena by their various dispositions, is immaterial. What is important to us is that variation in their disposition determine variations in the events on the earth, the correlation are very strong.

In Hindu Astrology, this system has been explained as space time connection. Within the space, there are four elements Air, Fire, Water and Earth each is therefore attributes, sattva , Raja and Tamasa and make up 12 divisions in the nature. So the zodiac in which earth and all the planets are imprisoned by gravitation and revolve around the sun is divided by 12 clusters of stars or signs of the zodiac.

In Vedic astrology it is founded that nothing in the universe is stationery. In any case we consider ourselves in the central point with rest of universe in the constant motion around us. We, therefore, consider the position and movement of all the heavenly bodies in relation to earth itself. The Indian Astronomy and Astrology considers earth as the centre, and all other heavenly bodies moving around it in one manner or the other.
